2022 Awardees

Background: The Glenmark Nutrition Awards were organized for the first time during the RISE World Summit which was held on 28th29th January 2021 in partnership with the UN World Food Programme and Idobro Impact Solutions. With the theme for the year being to recognize non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and individuals who undertook exceptional efforts during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Nutrition Awards received around 229 entries from 27 states and 8 Union Territories, making it a Pan India reach.

This is the second year of these awards. Idobro is honoured to announce The Glenmark Nutrition Awards in partnership with World Food Programme (WFP) (Nobel Laureate 2020) to recognize non-profit organizations (NGOs) and other organizations (social enterprises, collectives, community groups, individuals, etc.) who have undertaken exceptional efforts through their health initiatives or programs to reduce the impact of malnutrition in society – in rural and urban areas.

The theme of The Glenmark Nutrition Award 2022 will be Diet diversity and Innovation. The objective is to also support NGOs who have worked on the lines of Innovation, Impact, Inspiration and Collaboration in improving the dietary diversity among women and children, adolescent girls and vulnerable groups from the communities, using innovative strategies for implementation and adoption.

The winning organizations will be announced at the RISE World Summit 2022 on February 5th, 2022 at a virtual Grand Finale graced by eminent personalities and special guests.

Categories:
  1. Urban NGOs
  2. Rural NGOs
  3. Open (not an NGO. for e.g.: CBOs, voluntary groups, civil society organizations, individuals, etc.)
Location: Pan India

Target Beneficiaries: Women and children, adolescent girls and vulnerable groups Time period for the work done: January 2021 to December 2021

Selection:

Two rounds; Shortlisting by Selection Committee followed by presentation to Grand Jury Award: Rs. 1 lakh cash prize to the winner from each category. Certificates to 5 Finalists, Training & Engagement sessions for all participants

Capacity Building:

Two training sessions and other engagement activities will be conducted post the program (tentatively in April and August 2022) for capacity building and to understand specific needs of the NGO’s.

UN World Food Programme would be the Knowledge Partner, and Idobro Impact Solutions the Process Partners
